Lebone Engineering (Pty) Ltd (Lebone) is a dynamic consulting engineering company that was established in 1995 by a group of previously disadvantaged individuals. The company remains committed to black economic empowerment in all aspects of its operations.

It provides professional services in the technical fields of power distribution, building services, transportation and energy management, across all spheres of engineering namely electrical, electronic, civil, structural and mechanical engineering services.

Services that Lebone provide include technical auditing, planning, analysing, designing, engineering, optimising, system integration, test and evaluation, procurement, installation, construction management and commissioning. These services are rendered in projects ranging from small projects within the built environment to large turnkey capital projects.

The company is divided into Six Business Units (BU) – each offering unique specialist services and capable, under the Lebone umbrella, of providing fully integrated services to meet the needs of any project.

The Business Units are:

* Civil Engineering BU
* Energy Management BU
* Mechanical Engineering BU

The company vision is to be the preferred provider of professional engineering services in Southern Africa that adds value to all its stakeholders. It aims to achieve this by striving for service excellence in all its business and in paying meticulous attention to detail.

Lebone is a totally black economic empowerment company that is owned by Ilizwi Industrial Holdings (Pty) Ltd (90%) and the Lebone Engineering Share Scheme Trust (10%). Ilizwi is itself 100% owned by four black professionals, three of who are electrical engineers. The Trust has all full-time Lebone employees as its beneficiaries.

Lebone operates from its Head Office in Johannesburg (Gauteng) and its regional offices located in Durban (KwaZulu Natal), Richards Bay (KwaZulu Natal), Polokwane (Limpopo Province), Nelspruit (Mpumalanga), East London and Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape) and Centurion (Gauteng).
